Tasting Room Associate

Are you curious to learn more about wine? Are you an extrovert who loves working with people? Do you have an upbeat attitude and positive nature? This position does not require industry experience. However, this position does require a willingness to pursue the skills required to deliver results by utilizing company assets and participating in educational tastings and training. This position also requires the ability to take initiative in self-development by acquiring solid knowledge of our wines and winemaking techniques.


We are looking for an individual that is dependable, enthusiastic, welcoming, and genuine. This position requires confidence and exemplary communication skills. This is a part-time weekend position with the potential to become a full-time position based on the level of commitment to succeed.



Job Duties:



  • Ensure guests enjoy their experience from first moment of contact through departure

  • Provide guests with knowledge of the unique qualities of our wine and how they differ from other wineries in Dry Creek Valley and Sonoma County

  • Confidently articulate the individuality of the different wines in each tasting

  • Become an ambassador in representing our brand with a laser focus on the customer experience to ensure that it is memorable and cultivates a loyal relationship

  • Host guests of varied backgrounds and levels of wine knowledge in a variety of tasting settings, while listening to their needs and customizing the selling approach to meet those needs

  • Foster long-term personal relationships and brand loyalty by communicating the many benefits of club membership and converting interested tasters into members

  • Collect names and email addresses for future engagement of guests

  • Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register, accounting for daily sales and pours, processing returns and applying discounts

  • Follow opening and closing procedures, including washing and polishing glassware



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

  • Ability to effectively stock wine and transport wine to customer vehicles




Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
