This position works out of our mobile Optometry van located at our Healdsburg and Windsor clinic sites.
Competitive Sign-on bonus The Optometrist at Alliance Medical Center diagnoses and treats a variety of eye diseases and injuries related to ocular health for all ages and identifies and appropriately refers eye pathology as a manifestation of other medical illnesses.
Conducts comprehensive eye exams and provides excellent, patient-centered care including urgent care, chronic disease management and preventive health services considered standard of care for the health of the eye.
Serves as an integral part of the Care Team to ensure quality medical care for our patients.
Optometrist will be working from AMC's Vision Van working closely alongside Optometrist Technicians.
Must have California Driver's License as may have occasional need to drive AMC's Vision Van.
Some Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Examines eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents to determine visual fields, refraction, and visual acuity, uses diagnostic acumen and instruments to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities of the eye.
Elicits and records information about a patient's medical history.
Diagnose and treat eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
Creates prescriptions for eyeglasses and makes appropriate referrals for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
May prescribe medications to treat eye diseases, remove foreign bodies from the eye, analyze test results, and develop appropriate treatment plans for all ages.
Requirements:
Education and/or
Experience:
Doctorate in Optometry from an accredited school At least 3 years of Optometrist experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Certificates and Licenses:
License from the California State Board of Optometry, current and unrestricted, required American Board of Optometry (ABO) additional certifications to demonstrate expertise welcome Certification/Licensure:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
