We coordinate and amplify the local Latin American voice and we host cultural events that publicly celebrate the Latin American community and culture.

Summary:
Coraz n Healdsburg is hiring a full-time salaried Development Director.
Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Development Director will design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for Coraz n Healdsburg.
He/She/They will supervise Coraz n Grant Writer and Communication Specialist and are an integral member of the Coraz n leadership team Typical Duties Include Managing a portfolio of up to 150 individual donors with an annual giving potential of $1,000 to $300,000 Planning and executing annual individual giving strategies and campaigns that grow revenue, expand outreach to acquire new donors, retain existing donors, grow average gift size, and identify the next generation of donors with major gift potential Communicating with donors to ensure donor-centric goals, engagement and increasing level of commitment to Coraz n Recording all actions in and leveraging our database of record, Salesforce, to track all donors contact and engagement.
In collaboration with the Executive Director and Coraz n Board Members, develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to secure major gifts Implementing the donor stewardship/recognition program that includes acknowledgments, communications, and donor appreciation activities/events.
Designing and implementing an annual appeal calendar highlighting Coraz n Healdsburg's programs and services Supervise and collaborate with Corazon Healdsburg's communications staff on a messaging and communications strategy for building a sustained base of annual individual donors; ensure that strategies are implemented across all fund development functions; and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, including the organization's annual giving campaigns (currently two per year), including mailings and fundraising drives.
Conduct research, prospecting, and applications to multiple donor sources Oversee and engage in the submission of 30-40 grant proposals annually, ranging from $10,000 to $100,000
Coordinate with the program and finance team to ensure all grant reports are provided to funders in a timely and accurate manner Attending meetings with funders as a representative of Coraz n Healdsburg Prospecting and cultivating relationships with potential corporate donors aligned with Coraz n's mission Creating corporate sponsorship benefits and programs for Coraz n's events and programs Maintains and develops donor database through Salesforce to optimize fundraising opportunities Tracking and being accountable for Coraz n's annual fundraising goals in partnership with the Executive Director Working closely with all members of the Coraz n team Attending and contributing to Board Meetings and Development Committee meetings Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has extensive experience overseeing nonprofit fundraising in the North Bay Area.
They are proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on measurable results.
Additional qualifications considered are:

Year of Development or related field Proven track record of developing successful fundraising strategies and results, particularly in major gift fundraising.
Goal-driven self-starter who thrives on initiating donor visits and fundraising calls and preparing the Executive Director, Board members, and staff to be fundraising ambassadors for the organization.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and hold accountable individuals and teams to fundraising goals.
Working knowledge of development best practices, trends in development, fundraising tools and technology (including donor databases), and donor research.
Understanding of the Sonoma County philanthropic culture and philanthropic connections.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience and a minimum of 4-years of work experience in development for a nonprofit or similar organization Experience fundraising for a $2 million
budget.

Years of Supervisory Experience Demonstrated success in raising significant capital annually from both individual and corporate sources.
Creative and independent strategic thinking with the ability to proactively develop new ideas, cultivate buy-in with other staff members, and manage implementation and assessment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and build relationships with internal and external constituencies, including colleagues and current and prospective donors.
Strong written and oral communication skills to express Corazon's mission and goals with clarity and persuasion.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Quick learner and creative problem solver.
Experience using Microsoft Office/Google Suite or similar software and Mac/PC hardware knowledge, as well as CRM databases (i.
e.
, Salesforce).
Sensitivity to the challenges faced by under-served populations.
Experience working collaboratively and successfully with people and organizations from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds Work under general supervision, exercising significant independent judgment.
Desired skill:
bilingual in English and Spanish.
